Breaking News: Team RWB Releases New Logo
Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), a nonprofit organization forging the nation’s leading health and wellness community for veterans, today announced a new logo.
Based on overwhelmingly positive feedback in November around the organization’s “Rock The Trot” event mascot, Team RWB’s Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors have approved the new branding.
“After extensive research into turkeys and their positive attributes, we are confident in our new logo,” said Mike Erwin, Team RWB’s Executive Director. “We understand that this may upset some Team RWB members initially, but we know our members will embrace this new look as we evolve and grow as an organization after learning more about turkeys.”
Turkeys have many qualities that represent the attributes and spirit of Team RWB members:
🦃 Just like Team RWB members, turkeys are social, playful, intelligent and each have distinct personalities.
🦃 Like our veteran members who have extensive land navigation training, turkeys excel at geography and can learn the details of large areas. They exhibit problem-solving behavior and are curious and inquisitive. They are always exploring by checking out new sights and smells.
🦃 Turkeys are fast! Wild turkeys can run as fast as 35 mph and fly (yes, they fly!) as fast as 55 mph. Team RWB members might not actually fly, but they do run, and some of them run quite fast!
🦃 Turkeys have a 270-degree field of vision. Physically, most humans have a 180-degree field of vision, but Team RWB’s overall vision to forge American’s leading veteran health and wellness community is on par with turkey eyesight.
🦃 In nature, turkeys like to stay with their extended family flocks to keep everyone safe from predators. When they wake up, one turkey will call out a series of soft yelps to make sure that the rest of the group is okay. Our members not only protect their immediate families, but also look out for their Team RWB families.
We hope you will agree that this logo change is a positive new branding strategy that will enrich the look and feel of our organization, and comes at the perfect time; April 1, 2021.
Happy April Fools’ Day, RWB Turkeys!
