APPALACHIAN TRAIL – LEG #7 – BOILING SPRINGS TO SCOTT FARM

7:00 AM - 10:00 AM AKDT

4 E 1st St, Boiling Springs, PA 17007, USA, Boiling Springs, PA 17007

Leg #7- Carry Old Glory across the 230 miles of the Pennsylvania section of the Appalachian Trail. Total distance today - about 10 miles point to point. This is the Cumberland Valley - the trail is relatively fast and flat! We'll meet in Boiling Springs at the AT Regional Office (park at Boiling Springs Tavern across the street - temporarily closed), I'll have a car staged at Scott Farm, and we'll head north. This hike is different from any other section as it passes through the valley. We cross the Carlisle Pike on a pedestrian overpass, I81, the PA Turnpike, and we climb into and out of cow pastures. 1068.1 1121.0 PA 174, First Street, ATC Mid-Atlantic Regional Office Boiling Springs, PA 1066.6 1122.5 Stone wall 1066.0 1123.1 PA 74, York Rd 40.1731,-77.1211 k 573 1065.0 1124.1 Lisburn Rd 1064.5 1124.6 Byers Rd 1064.4 1124.7 Footbridge, stream 1064.0 1125.1 Trindle Rd, PA 641, kiosk 1062.8 1126.3 Ridge Rd, Biddle Rd 1062.3 1126.8 Old Stone House Rd, footbridge, stream 1061.6 1127.5 Appalachian Dr 1061.3 1127.8 PA Turnpike (I-76) overpass 1060.7 1128.4 Railroad tracks 1060.1 1129.0 US 11, Carlisle, PA (0.5W) 1059.2 1129.9 Pass over I-81 on Bernheisel Rd 1058.6 1130.5 Fence stile (two) 1057.8 1131.3 Scott Farm Trail ATC Crew HQ, Conodoguinet Creek, footbridge alongside road 40.2598,-77.1037
