Taji 100 – Los Angeles Chapter Team
07:00 AM - 12:00 PM PST
VIRTUAL CHALLENGE, Los Angeles, CA 90014
The Taji 100 is an annual, charitable virtual event that raises funds for Team RWB. Participants pledge to cover 100 miles during the month of February, with the option to collect additional donations for the miles they run, walk, hike, or elliptical.
There are two ways to participate:
1) Sign up for free and log your miles on the Taji site.
2) Pay the $65 registration fee, log your miles on the Taji site, and get a special 2019 racing tee celebrating 10 years, 2019 Taji participant medal (limited to first 750 registrants), special-edition Taji racing bib, and a 4”x4” Taji decal.
Note: $25 of each registration packet sale is donated to Team RWB.
The first Taji 100 was held at former Camp Taji, in Al Taji, Iraq, in February of 2010. Captain Carole DiPardo, 211th Military Police Battalion, created the friendly competition for her fellow troops in Camp Taji with a simple goal: Run 100 miles during the month of February. Paul Fukuma, President and Chairman of Taji 100, was a participant in the first race while serving as a US Army Combat Medic in Taji. He eventually brought the event state-side and turned into an annual fundraising event benefiting military veterans.
For additional information and to register, please visit the Taji 100 website at: www.taji100.com
Please also register here so we know who is participating for Team RWB Los Angeles! We'll be posting entries about the team's progress on the chapter's Facebook group page and Instagram.
