Volunteer at Fayetteville Animal Protection Society
08:30 AM - 11:30 AM EST
3927 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28303
The Fayetteville Animal Production Society needs volunteers. Your duties would be to walk dogs in the morning , teaching leash manners, and playing with dogs in the play yard (as long as they aren't fence jumpers).
Note Minimum age is 16
All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application and call to schedule a date to attend an orientation Volunteers 18 years and over are responsible for themselves.
Volunteers ages 16 –17 years old must have a parent/guardian sign a consent form and a parent must accompany the volunteer on the day of orientation and work. If the staff feels the volunteer is ready, he/she may report without the parent/guardian after the first day.
Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes, preferably comfortable sneakers. We suggest you wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty!
A VOLUNTEER APPLICATION MUST BE FILLED OUT PRIOR TO THE ORIENTATION!!
Please arrive at 8:45am, Orientation begins promptly at 9am.
Workshops last about 90 minutes and include a tour of the FAPS' shelter facility. The workshop is required before volunteers are permitted to work at the shelter.•
Space is limited, so register early. If you cannot make the orientation you've registered for, please call and cancel or reschedule so we can make room for others.
If you do not attend an orientation in the 3 months following your application, it will be deleted.
If you are a previous volunteer, and have been inactive at the shelter for 6 months or more, you may need to retake an orientation.
Call the office at 910-864-9040 to register for an orientation.
