TAMPA, Fla. (June 23, 2015) – Iron Girl is pleased to announce that this year’s Iron Girl® Sandy Hook Sprint Triathlon and 5K charity partner will be Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB). The charity’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.
The Lady Eagles from Team RWB are active duty members, veterans, family members, and supporters of our armed forces who will be racing in the Iron Girl event. Participants can join in on what is sure to be an inspirational race on Sunday, September 13th. Monetary donations can be made at the Team RWB booth during the Iron Girl expo at Henry Hudson Regional School on Saturday, September 12th or at the race taking place on Sunday, September 13th at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, NJ.
Triathletes can add meaning to their swim/bike/run adventure by purchasing a charity spot and racing for Team RWB. Participants already registered can earn a charity bib by fundraising via the Team RWB IRONMAN Foundation® page.
