Joyce “JJ’ Jelks is the Head of HR for Wieden & Kennedy (W+K) NYC where she oversees all facets of the Human Resources function. Prior to W+K, JJ was the Head of Human Resources at Excel Sports Management, New York City Football Club (NYCFC), NJ Devils/Prudential Center and Brooklyn Sports and Entertainment.

JJ also serves as a Major in the Army Reserves within the Inspectors General Office at United States Southern Command based in Miami, FL. She has been in the military over 21 years and graduated from her hometown university, University of Toledo, and later went on to complete her master’s degree in HR at Florida International University. JJ resides in the Jersey City, NJ area with her husband, Fred and son, Jalen.
