WOD for Warriors
What is WOD for Warriors? WOD, first off, stands for “Workout of the Day” – the “for Warriors” denotes the fact that the workouts are …
WOD For Warriors is Team RWB’s annual WOD (workout of the day) held on and around Veterans Day at local chapters, gyms, and boxes across the country. Veterans Day has been observed since 1954 and its origins date back to Armistice Day, November 11, 1918, which marked the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front during WWI.
Veterans Day preserves the historical significance of 11/11 and gives us a day to honor the men and women who served our country. #WOD4Warriors, sponsored by Bravo Sierra, Neurogum, and UPGRAID, is an opportunity to support veterans through functional fitness, compete for prizes, raise funds for America’s veterans, and engage with those in the community who do not yet know about Team RWB. All proceeds from this event directly support Team RWB’s mission!
