1.8 million service members have received the Purple Heart, a medal awarded to members of the U.S. armed forces who are wounded or killed in action. To honor their service and sacrifice, Eagle Nation will come together to walk, run, ruck, or cycle 1.8 miles for three consecutive days while remembering the sacrifice of those who have been awarded the medal, kicking off on National Purple Heart Day, August 7.

The challenge, hosted by Halfaker and Associates, LLC (Halfaker), a technology solutions provider within the Federal Government’s health, intelligence, security, and defense sectors, also recognizes the company’s founder and CEO Dawn Halfaker, a Purple Heart recipient herself. Learn more about Halfaker on August 10, 2020, when she will be featured in an episode of the Eagle Nation Podcast
