Leading the Way for Positive Outcomes

With more than 250,000 U.S. service members returning to civilian life each year, the need to ensure their successful transition deserves our focus and best effort.  Team RWB specifically aims to increase individual enrichment – made up of health, people and purpose. The depth to which that occurs is tracked through our proprietary Enriched Life Scale (ELS). The psychometric validated ELS measures physical, mental, emotional health; genuine relationships; a sense of individual and shared purpose, and sense of identity.

Member Spotlight: John Okerson

Chapter Captain, Marion, IL

John served 20 years with the U.S. Army’s historic 82nd Airborne Division and 173rd Airborne Brigade. After nearly six years as a First Sergeant with multiple deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan, John was facing a drastic lifestyle change with his upcoming retirement in 2013. As he was in the midst of the military transition process, tragedy struck our Nation with the Boston Marathon Bombing. It was this event and Team RWB Fort Bragg’s reaction to it that connected John to the Eagle Fire. “It was their enthusiasm, excitement and welcoming atmosphere that drew me to sign up. Since that day, Team Red, White and Blue has been an integral part of my life and filled the void left by retiring from active duty.”
