Motto: “Live each day to the fullest because we are not promised tomorrow!”
Why Did You Join Team RWB?
“I joined RWB with a friend to allow us to make friends. My friend is a veteran and had heard about the group and wanted to check it out. We showed up to an event and then started running… and I have not stopped.”
What has Been Your Favorite Event or Experience with Team RWB?
“My most amazing experience with Team RWB would have to be at Marine Corp Marathon in DC. Not only was this my first marathon, but it was one of the first times I got to see such a large group of Eagles. I was already used to the amazing group from my area. I know our actions and how we treated each other at races and events. To see this type of interaction on such a massive scale completely took my breath away. It didn’t matter where you were from. If you had the Eagle on, you were instant friends and family. If they saw you injured or saw you hurt, Eagles were the first to step in. I witnessed an Eagle walk with another woman leaning over her for I believe the last 3 miles when her knee gave out. She walked her to the finish line. I also had the experience of Eagles coming up from out of nowhere when I had issues had mile 25. Everyone was willing to do what it took to make sure others were alright. This was the best feeling to be a part of such an amazing group.”

How Do You Serve Your Community?
“I work to give back to the community in any way possible. I have worked to set up a blood drive with various organizations. This allowed us to reach out to many people in the community. In addition to this, working to set up socks for the homeless at my office and just recently joined up with an animal shelter. Anything I can do to try and make a small difference.”
What Inspires You?
“I am inspired by seeing those around me succeed and by watching them experience joy. I want to do everything in my power to help those around me reach goals and succeed in any way possible.”
How Has Team RWB Impacted Your Life?
“Team RWB has been there when I have gone through some tough moments in my life. When I joined the group, I thought I would find friends. It turns out, I found an extended family. I have been able to reach out to those close to me from the group for so much. Joining Team RWB was by far the best decision I could have made.“
What Would You Say to Someone Who is Thinking of Joining Team RWB?
“I would say that it is absolutely something they should do. Whether they are looking for friends, a support system, or just a way to be more active and social, it is all within this group. There is just this amazing camaraderie to be found anywhere you go where there are other Eagles.“
