Motto: “Kindness is everything.”

Why Did You Join Team RWB?

“I joined Team RWB because I wanted to give back to the veteran community and I also liked to run. I wasn’t sure what would come of it, but I can say now it was one of the best decisions I could have made. I have met so many great people who care about veterans as much as I do.”

What has Been Your Favorite Event or Experience with Team RWB?

“I love when we play Bingo at the VA Community Living Center. The residents are happy to see us and we are so happy to see them! We facilitate the Bingo game, help residents play and hand out prizes. It makes for a very fun afternoon!”

How do you serve your community?

“I serve my community by volunteering at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. I am there on Saturdays to conduct nutrition surveys and to hand out snacks to the residents at the Community Living Center. I also work as a nanny and I strive to teach the kids about kindness and what it means to help others.”

What Inspires You?

“I am inspired by the women and men who serve(d) our country, it is certainly not something I could ever do. I am inspired by people who work tirelessly for under-served and oppressed people and I am inspired by people who never give up.”

How Has Team RWB Impacted Your Life?

“Team RWB has impacted my life by introducing me to amazing people who are veterans, are married to veterans and who care about veterans. The world needs more people like the Eagles from Team RWB. I also found out through participating in events that Team RWB has hosted, that I am not a fan of CrossFit type workouts, so I learned something about myself in this process :)”

What Would You Say to Someone Who is Thinking of Joining Team RWB?

“I would tell someone who is thinking about joining Team RWB to do it!!! There is nothing to lose and everything to gain!”
