Saturday Spotlight – Terrance Gant
Chapter: Southcentral / Phoenix
Member Since: April 2016
Motto: “Without struggle there is no progress.”
Why Did You Join Team RWB?
“I was retuning from the journey of recovering my life from alcoholism, and a suicide attempt. I needed something that was external to fill the void of lacking purpose in life. I found Team RWB and haven’t looked back since.”
What has Been Your Favorite Event or Experience with Team RWB?
“Old Glory 2016 has been my favorite event to date. The feeling of family, support, and being part of something bigger than ourselves was apparent running Old Glory on the leg from Phoenix to Tucson.”
How do you serve your community?
“I volunteer in my community in a number of different ways. With Team RWB, I’m the Veteran Engagement Coordinator and I volunteer in Veterans Court at three different municipal courts. I also mentor Veterans and under-privileged kids, and volunteer my time helping the homeless.”
What Inspires You?
“Waking up in the morning knowing I have the opportunity to make a positive impact in someone else’s life today!”
How Has Team RWB Impacted Your Life?
“Being part of Team RWB has made such a strong impact in my life. The fellowship, brother/sisterhood that I have found amongst my fellow Eagles local and afar has been amazing. To impact others lives has always been something I’ve loved and Team RWB has been the catalyst for me to continue that.”
What Would You Say to Someone Who is Thinking of Joining Team RWB?
“Come out! Once you are engulfed in the Eagle Family, you will find what you are looking for – whether it’s social, physical, emotional.”
