Motto: “If it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you.”
Why Did You Join Team RWB?
“I was looking for a job after the military, and I was learning about networking and it’s importance after the military. I met Team RWB at my brothers football game, they were having a memorial event in honor of CPL Ryan McGhee. I had no idea what I was about to get into. My first event was the Monday night canal path run. I saw everyone standing in a circle to introduce themselves and then I got nervous and ended up running on my own that night. The next week, I got up the courage to go join them and introduce myself. Since that day, they became the family I didn’t know I needed.”
What has Been Your Favorite Event or Experience with Team RWB?
“My favorite event is always a Ragnar Relay race; a great time of camping and getting to know other Eagles on a more personal level. I also really like the Saturday Morning Battlefield run too.”
How do you serve your community?
“I am an event leader in my Chapter and I am always looking to help and do more.”
What Inspires You?
“People who do hard things inspire me. Whether it’s trying to run a mile without stopping, running an ultra marathon or anything in between. If it challenges you, it will change you.”
How Has Team RWB Impacted Your Life?
“My chapter has given me a community to be a part of outside the military, it has made less of a selfish person. I have learned to be kind to everyone because you never know what someone can bring to make your community a better place.”
What Would You Say to Someone Who is Thinking of Joining Team RWB?
“Team RWB is an organization where you will feel like you’re a part of something bigger than yourself. It’s a chance to find common ground with veterans as well as do great things in your community, and run a mile or two if you want. or yoga or Cross-Fit or Ruck, and so on.”
