Motto: “Create Safe Spaces every chance you get, you never know who needs them!”
Why Did You Join Team RWB?
“I joined because I was drawn into a group of authentic and genuine leaders who were trying to make real connections with veterans and their families. I quickly fell in love with all of the amazing people who were just trying to establish good, healthy relationships with one another. The best part about Team RWB is that every time I go to a run/walk/social/academy or camp I meet more of these amazing people.”
What has Been Your Favorite Event or Experience with Team RWB?
“Being an Eagle Leader Fellow was my favorite Team RWB Experience. I got to attend a bunch of amazing camps and academies that I normally wouldn’t have had the opportunity to attend. Of course, with all of those amazing events came a lot of incredible people!”
How do you serve your community?
“I serve my community by helping create safer spaces for veterans and community members alike. I am a Healing Circle Facilitator, a Recovery Facilitator within my church, I serve on my local Community Engagement Board, and I am the Columbia, Missouri Community Engagement Director.”
What Inspires You?
“I am inspired by people trying to make the world better by spreading love, kindness, and joy. We all have tough times and rough days but it takes a special person to share some authentic kindness through tough times.”
How Has Team RWB Impacted Your Life?
“Team RWB has impacted my life in a large way. I have worked in Corporate America for the past 7 years, I and didn’t realize what I was missing. Team RWB helped me realize I missed being a servant leader within my life. I plan to dig deeper into helping serve women veterans in my community and all over the nation.”
What Would You Say to Someone Who is Thinking of Joining Team RWB?
“If someone is thinking about joining Team RWB, I would suggest that they/you try it out, go to an event or two. Some events will be for you and some might not be, but no matter what, those events have the potential enrich not only your life but your families’ lives as well.”
