Team Red, White & Blue Announces Appointment of New Board Members

ATLANTA, GA – One of the nation’s leading veterans service organizations, Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB), today announced that Dr. Mike Thirtle and Dr. Jannell MacAulay have been appointed to its Board of Directors.

“We are thrilled to welcome Mike and Jannell as our newest members of the Board,” said Mike Erwin, Executive Director of Team RWB. “Their experience and perspective will complement our Board of Directors, and will be critically important to the continued growth of Team RWB and the achievement of our mission to enrich the lives of America’s veterans.”

Dr. Thirtle is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Bethesda, a non-profit organization that provides housing, employment, transportation, and healthcare supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the U.S. Before joining Bethesda, he worked for the RAND Corporation in various roles for 12 years, including Director of the RAND office at Air Combat Command at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia. Thirtle is a proud veteran and retired member of the U.S. Air Force, where he served as an active duty and reserve officer for more than two decades. He graduated with military distinction from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In addition, Thirtle holds several advanced degrees, including doctoral and master’s degrees in policy analysis, both from the RAND Graduate School in Santa Monica, California. Thirtle also has master’s degrees in finance and economics, both from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He has attended Executive Leadership Programs at both the Stanford Business School and the Harvard Business School.

Dr. Jannell MacAulay is a combat veteran who served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot, commander, and special operations consultant. With her innovative leadership style, she was the first leader to introduce mindfulness as a proactive performance strategy within the US military. She currently serves as a Leadership and Human Performance consultant for the Department of Defense, government sector, and corporate America. She is the co-founder of Warrior’s Edge, a high-performance mindset training program she developed with Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks and Dr. Michael Gervais, a high-performance sports psychologist. She is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, has a Masters Degree in Kinesiology and a Ph.D. with work in the field of strategic health & human performance. Dr. MacAulay is a certified wellness educator, yoga instructor, and holds a certificate in plant-based nutrition. She is a TEDx speaker and mother of two, who is on a mission to help individuals excel in high-stress and rugged environments by showing them how to lean into each moment to find their best selves.
