Team RWB to be an Official Charity Partner of the Premier Lacrosse League
Team RWB will work with the Premier Lacrosse League’s PLL Assists initiative to support American veterans.
LOS ANGELES, CA (Nov. 19, 2018) – As the Premier Lacrosse League continues its revolutionary approach to the sport, the league has announced that the nonprofit organization Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) will be an official charity partner.
PLL Assists is seeking to change the way that sports leagues interact with their communities by building lasting relationships with meaningful programs around the country. The program will focus on three specific areas during its inaugural season in 2019: increasing access to lacrosse in underserved communities, supporting American veterans in their transition back home, and joining the fight against cancer. Additionally, the PLL will assist its players’ respective charitable endeavors by investing with financial support and shared resources. Within each of these initiatives, PLL Assists will work with selected, established non-profit partners, to make meaningful impact to people who need it.
As part of the PLL Assists’ partnership, the PLL will work with Team RWB to provide a dedicated number of tickets to each game to veterans as well as recognize a local hero in each city. The PLL will also coordinate special events with veterans in each local market where Team RWB has a chapter, developing a connection between the players and our nation’s veterans.
“We’re honored to partner with the Premier Lacrosse League to bring exciting opportunities and resources to our members across the country,” said John Pinter, Executive Director of Team RWB. “Partnerships like these are crucial as we work to help America’s veterans find lasting fulfillment through the creation of deep bonds with other veterans and civilian supporters.”
Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity. The organization has over 200 chapters nationwide, featuring over 150,000 members that have organized 40,000+ events in the last year.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the service and sacrifice of our nation’s Veterans,” said Paul Rabil, co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer of PLL. “Team RWB illustrates how being active can help develop community, and we’re excited to be a part of that through PLL Assists.”
