Team RWB’s Take Flight challenge to support veterans’ health and wellness in the new year
Take Flight offers veterans plans, guidance, and support for 2021 fitness and wellness goals
ATLANTA, GA – Team RWB, a nonprofit organization forging America’s leading health and wellness community for veterans, invites veterans and supporters to soar into 2021 as part of its third annual Take Flight challenge. Take Flight is a 31-day virtual challenge designed to support veterans as they work toward their individual fitness and wellness goals for 2021.
Every year, more than 250,000 active duty service members transition out of the military joining the 3.5 million post-9/11 veterans already living in communities nationwide. They face many challenges including isolation, weight gain, lack of purpose, and other health issues.
Take Flight offers veterans and supporters the opportunity to join four goal tracks focused on functional fitness, yoga, running, and overall healthy habits. Registered participants will receive a detailed goal plan, daily emails with inspiration and workouts, and weekly, virtual check-ins with experts and coaches.
“2020 was a challenging year for many Americans, so that’s why we’re soaring into 2021 with Team RWB’s Take Flight challenge,” said Mike Erwin, Executive Director of Team RWB. “Take Flight will inspire and empower our nation’s veterans to start the year off strong and build healthy habits that will help them accomplish their fitness and wellness goals—and that they have a caring community guiding them along the way.
500 participants who complete and check-in to Take Flight every day in the Team RWB App will be eligible to receive a free Take Flight embroidered patch with free shipping.
