While we all prioritize social distancing during this constantly evolving outbreak, there are ways that #EagleNation can serve and help each other. According to the American Red Cross, communities now face a severe blood shortage due to an unprecedented number of blood drive cancellations during this coronavirus outbreak.
Healthy individuals are needed to donate now to help patients counting on lifesaving blood. We have set the goal of Team RWB donating at least 500 liters of blood in the coming weeks – this is over 1,000 members taking the time to serve others.
Practicing social distancing and donating blood are not mutually exclusive activities. It’s still safe to donate blood during the coronavirus pandemic. Individuals are not at risk of contracting coronavirus through the blood donation process or through blood transfusion.
