Starbucks' Eight-Year Partnership Transforms Lives of America's Veterans

As Eagle Nation marks eight years of partnership with Starbucks, one word resonates — gratitude. We're grateful for Starbucks' unwavering support. Through Starbucks' generosity and commitment, we've tackled critical issues facing veterans, focusing on their well-being while building a stronger community.

Historical Giving and Focused Support

Starbucks' collaboration with Team RWB began in 2015, initially targeting veterans in Colorado. Over time, this partnership evolved, driven by a shared vision.

In 2018, Starbucks took our partnership to new heights, pledging a portion of Veterans Gift card proceeds to support Team RWB. This marked a pivotal shift, highlighting Starbucks' dedication to our shared mission.

These contributions fueled various Team RWB programs, including the Old Glory Relay, Serve As One, and "The Third Place" (a nod to our long-time members). Starbucks continued this commitment with similar giveback promotions and support in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022, funding programs that encouraged veterans to engage actively in their communities.

Mission Critical Achievements Enabled by Starbucks

Starbucks' support has played a pivotal role in driving Team RWB's growth and impact on the veteran community, a source of pride for all of us at Team RWB.

Membership Growth: We've seen a significant increase in Team RWB membership, from 95,376 in 2015 to well over 257,000 by the end of last year. We continue to reach new veterans, service members, and military family members every day.

Total Engagements: Team RWB recorded a staggering 230,523 engagements in 2021, compared to 158,287 in 2015, showcasing the expanding reach and impact of our programs.

The Impact of Starbucks' Support

Starbucks' support has enabled us to sustain events, training, and programming, helping veterans lead healthier lives. From the Old Glory Relay to Eagle Expeditions, these experiences have fostered a sense of community and purpose among those who have served.

Starbucks' contributions facilitated the Enriched Life Scale (ELS) survey, enabling us to gauge veterans' well-being and provide targeted support. Projects like Operation Eagle Welcome have successfully connected veterans with resilience resources, profoundly improving their lives.

Looking Ahead

As we contemplate our journey with Starbucks, we anticipate the future. In 2024, with Starbucks' continued support, Team RWB will expand Eagle Expeditions. These expeditions will enhance veterans' well-being by increasing their time outdoors and fostering lasting connections with others who share similar experiences.

Starbucks' support has been indispensable in our mission to improve veterans' lives.

We anticipate Veterans’ Day November 11, when Starbucks will continue to honor veterans, service members, and military spouses with a free tall (12oz) brewed coffee (hot or iced) at participating U.S. stores. Offer valid on café and drive thru orders only. Limited one per customer. In addition, Starbucks is donating $200,000, divided evenly between Team RWB and Travis Manion Foundation to support our veteran community.
